This book, the second in a series, is a collection of stories about the life of a remarkable woman, Rosemary Wilson. “In Rosemary’s Garden” transports readers, once again, back to the times that they first became acquainted with in the first book of the series, “Rosemary’s Village.” Known for her wonderful, warm smile and gentle ways, Rosemary was beloved by her family, friends, and neighbors. She had a deep-rooted appreciation for the heritage of the village of Meadowvale, Ontario, Canada, where she raised her children. When development overcame the scenic area, beginning in the 1970’s, destroying much of the countryside and the charm of the village setting, Rosemary and her son Terry, the author of the book, sought to salvage all they could of the history-laden buildings that were, sadly, torn down. Terry used the materials to construct an incredible “Little Village” of shed-size buildings on the family’s property, to reflect the structures that were lost to “progress.” Heartfelt stories of Rosemary’s life, beginning during the time of the Great Depression, are artfully interwoven with the threads of the history of the picturesque village of Meadowvale. Take a step back in time to a kinder, gentler world, and meet a truly beautiful soul through these touching stories.
