This book, the fifth in a series, is a collection of stories about the life of Rosemary Wilson, blended with her son Terry's fondest recollections of family times in Meadowvale. "ROSEMARY'S LITTLE BOOK" transports readers, once again, back to the times that they became acquainted with in the first book of the series, "Rosemary's Village," and revisited in the second, third, and fourth books... "In Rosemary's Garden," "Home With Rosemary," and "To Rosemary With Love."
Known for her wonderful, warm smile and gentle ways, Rosemary was beloved by her family, friends, and neighbors. She had a deep-rooted appreciation for the heritage of the village of Meadowvale, Ontario, Canada, where she raised her children. Terry has done his utmost, in these stories, to express his deep, abiding gratitude for the guidance, love, and inspiration that came from Rosemary, all throughout his life.
When development overcame the scenic area, beginning in the 1970's, destroying much of the countryside and the charm of the village setting, Rosemary and Terry sought to salvage all they could from the times they so fondly remembered of life in Meadowvale. Terry used original materials, as much as possible, in constructing an incredible "Little Village" of shed-size buildings on the family's property, to reflect the structures that were lost to "progress."
Heartfelt stories of Rosemary's life, beginning during the time of the Great Depression, are artfully interwoven with the threads of the history of the village of Meadowvale. Take a step back in time to a kinder, gentler world, and meet a truly beautiful soul through these touching stories. Experience highlights from Terry's life, so enriched in the picturesque setting of the village of Meadowvale, and so blessed by a mother's wisdom and warmth.
